Polly Barks is a zero-waste and sustainability advocate, educator and author who I had the pleasure of meeting earlier this year. She reached out needing some personal brand photos for her website, blog and upcoming (now released!) book.
We planned out the 3-4 different stories she wanted to capture and tell through photography and then we set out on a beautiful winter day in Indianapolis!
I had so much fun with Polly and honestly, learned so much about sustainability that I was completely clueless about.
Our first stop was at a speciality grocery store in Broad Ripple to capture some images of how she shops to use for some upcoming blog posts:
Next up: Brics ice cream shop! Where they have vegan icecream and you can bring your own reusable dish! Polly brought her own glass dish, wooden spoon and napkin. Brilliant!
Next stop: an adorable coffee shop to get some images of her working on her laptop, writing, and some more relaxed headshots.
Last location change: this great spot outdoors with an urban feel where it also has a killer view of the Indianapolis skyline!
Thank you, Polly, for trusting me to capture and tell your brand story! I had so much fun and also learn so much from you about sustainability efforts and where there are definite ways I can personally improve — THANK YOU!
