Lindsey+Mike+Lucy | Family Portrait Photography | Fishers, IN

This family of 3 portrait session is special to me as it is my sister, brother-in-law and niece, Lucy! Fortunately, they have me as family and get lots of family photos for free (I do accept hugs and kisses from Lucy though 😘) throughout the year and of course we do a “formal” session for the milestones. UNFORTUNATELY, because they are family, they get put on the back burner for editing (because clients come first in the editing and delivery of heirloom products work πŸ˜‰).

Lucy turned 2 years old on Halloween, and we captured these photos around that time. The day was sunny but it was a little chilly (ok, really chilly) and we moved FAST because we were all cold and Lucy was just NOT having it lol πŸ˜‚Β  Lucy has a very independent attitude about her and she is going to do what she wants when she wants it. Including smiling…haha. As you will see below, we captured the array of her emotions and personality and it perfectly depicts the beautiful child that she is 😊

As always, I capture the true emotion of your family, and my family is no exception. When I showed these to my sister she goes, “Yep, that’s real life right now!”

Every year I create a custom heirloom album for my sister and her family of the photos I’ve taken throughout the year. I love my sister and she is amazing at A LOT of things, but memory preserving and printing photos is not one of them. πŸ˜‰ So when Lucy was born, I decided that I would create an album, a “yearbook” of sorts, for Lucy to have so when she grows up she has memories of her childhood to look at. Below is the album I chose this year. It is a sand color with silver shimmer (I like to call them sparkles) 😁 with silver debossed lettering. I LOVE how it turned out!

In true Lucy fashion, we started the session with a bit of a cry. It’s ok sister. We all need a good cry every now and then. Get it out and we will get on with the session πŸ˜‰
