Another beautiful summer wedding to share with you on the blog today! Collette and Jason were married on Saturday, June 18 at the White River Yacht Club in Indianapolis, IN. This was a special wedding for me to be a part of with the fact that I have known Collette since we were 6 years old and in 1st grade together! We grew up together playing sports and going to school together, so it was an honor to reconnect with her and be asked to capture her and Jason’s wedding day. I loved how easy-going and laid back they were (and their family) on the day of the wedding. They were up for all of my crazy photo ideas in the rather sweltering June day 🙂 I also had the pleasure of working with Emily from Emily Ventura Designs who was the wedding planner for the day 🙂
We started the day getting ready at a family friend’s house, which was also located on the White River just down the road from the Yacht Club. And then we actually took a boat from the house to the Yacht Club to arrive for the ceremony!
Enjoy some of the small and big moments captured from Collette and Jason’s special day below 🙂
Love both of these — Collette’s mom helping her put on her dress and Collette catching her fiancee, Jason, helping her brother, Charlie, put on his bow tie out the window before the first look 🙂 It’s time for the first look! 😀 Side note: Collette made ALL of the flowers for the wedding out of origami and coffee filters…! Just wait until you see her bouquet…Seriously, how cute are these two?! Again, bouquets hand-made by the bride! They are SO beautiful!I just loved the bow ties, too! Collette – you are a STUNNING bride!!Jason snapping a quick photo of his beautiful bride 😉Time to get on the boat and head to the ceremony!Patiently waiting outside for the ceremony to begin 🙂Party favors were these adorable little bottles of hand-made vanilla extract. Love this idea! The groom’s emotions get me every time…Collette with all FOUR of her grandmothers! How special 🙂 Sweet moment with brother and sister 🙂
Bride and groom’s first dance 🙂 Collette and Jason are “pie people” and decided to forego the traditional wedding cake and had HOMEMADE sugar cream pies for each table! I love this idea!As the ceremony was over and I was walking out to my car I noticed how bright and amazing the moonlit sky was and had to capture one more image to endcap the day 🙂
